Lifetime Limited Transferable Warranty

                            Vinyl Replacement Windows and Patio Doors

The following warranty is extended to the original purchaser of each Vinyl Kraft replacement window or patio door by Vinyl Kraft.

WINDOW OR DOOR UNIT - LIFETIME WARRANTY
These vinyl windows and patio doors are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own or reside in the house in which these products were installed. See Special Warranty on METREC color coated products.

INSULATING GLASS UNIT - LIFETIME WARRANTY
The insulated glass is  warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own or reside in the house in which these products were installed.  This warranty is against obstruction or vision as a result of film formation or dust collection between the interior glass surfaces caused by failure of the hermetic seal.  This warranty will be prorated at 50% of the prevailing retail cost of materials and shipping after the 20th year.

GLASS BREAKAGE - 5 YEAR WARRANTY
Five year warranty, materials, covers up to your residential deductible on your homeowner's insurance policy for any reason.

MOVING PARTS - LIFETIME
Moving parts, such as balancers that are used on double hung windows and locking mechanisms used in all windows or patio doors, are warranted for as long as you own and reside in the house in which the products were installed.  This limited warranty does not apply to any damage caused by improper installation, accident, fire, flood, explosion, misuse, vandalism, or other external forces.

FIBERGLASS SCREENING - 20 YEAR WARRANTY
All fiberglass insect cloth supplied by the manufacturer with the vinyl replacement windows and patio doors is warranted against rust, corrosion, and rot for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of installation.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
Under the terms of this limited warranty, Vinyl Kraft agrees to provide components for replacement of any parts that are determined to be defective during the warranty period.  These components will be furnished to the place of business of the nearest authorized installer.  The manufacturer's obligation under this warranty is limited to furnishing replacement material and does not cover any possible labor charges.

This warranty does not include material that requires replacement because of mishandling, misuse, abuse, accidents, fire, acts of nature, chemical pollutants in the atmosphere, improper installation, or as a result of localized heat that causes excessive temperature differential over the glass surfaces or edges.  Small marks, scratches, and spots, which do not exceed our company standards, do not make insulating glass units defective.

Condensation on any window or door is the natural result of excessive moisture in the house and changes in the interior or exterior temperatures.  It does not indicate a defective window or installation.  It is even possible for frost to appear on a window as a result of excessive condensation in cold weather.  This warranty does not cover condensation, frost or freezing form condensation on windows.  No window can prevent condensation if the humidity level in the home is too high.

Installation of Vinyl Kraft Bay and Bow windows must include use of the cable support system, which is supplied, or bottom support bracing.  Bays and Bows must have a roofing system consisting of a shingle or vertical soffit return to an overhang.  Vinyl or aluminum coil is not suitable for use on the roof of Bays or Bows.  Failure to use a roof system or support system, as specified above, will void all warranties.

The original warranty period shall not be extended by any such repair or replacement, but the remaining warranty time period shall continue in effect and be applicable under the terms and conditions of this warranty to the repaired component of the window.

Transfer of warranty must be expressed in writing by original purchaser and sent via Certified Main to Vinyl Kraft, 3404 Rhodes Avenue, New Boston, Ohio 45662 within 30 days of property transfer.  The remaining warranty will then be in effect.

This warranty does not include torn screening.  The manufacturer reserves the right to discontinue or change any replacement vinyl window or patio door as manufactured.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT (IN WHOLE OR IN PART) UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE SELLER, VINYL KRAFT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THEIR VINYL WINDOWS AND PATIO DOORS.  ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THE WINDOWS AND DOORS IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

GLASS BREAKAGE WARRANTY VALID ON SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS ONLY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.  This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

This warranty is validated by having the attached Registration Certificate signed by the original purchaser and the dealer and mailing is to Vinyl Kraft within 30 days of the completed installation.  Inquiries should be mailed to Vinyl Kraft, 3404 Rhodes Avenue, New Boston, Ohio 45662.
